King Edward’s is seeking a passionate and enthusiastic full-time Teacher of Biology and Psychology on a permanent basis. The successful candidate will teach Biology across all ages and will be expected to teach Psychology at A Level.
At IGCSE, pupils can choose to take Biology as a part of the triple science curriculum, or combined science, with the Biology taught by subject specialists. Many go on to study the subject at A level. In addition, all pupils undertake a combined Science course in Years 7 and 8. The department is housed in excellent, well-equipped laboratories and enjoys a high level of resourcing.
For Psychology A Level, an outstanding subject knowledge is a must, and the successful candidate will have a proven record of delivering engaging lessons which demonstrate their excellent subject knowledge and teaching practice.
The post would be equally suitable for someone seeking a first appointment or an experienced teacher. A willingness to contribute to the School’s wide range of co-curricular activities is expected. The School uses 1-1 technology to enhance teaching and learning.
