Cost Engineer- RAIL\n\nBirmingham\n\nPermanent Position – full time in the office\n\nUp to 36k Annually + Excellent Company Benefits\n\nDue to new project wins and current pipeline our client is looking to hire a Cost Engineer permanent extensive experience in the rail sector to join their successful team in Birmingham.\n\nOur client is a reputable consultancy within the rail sector who have worked on the UK’s biggest rail engineering and construction projects.\n\nThey are looking for an experienced Cost Engineer with multidisciplinary experience, to work across several major projects at any one time.\n\nExpectations of a Cost Engineer:\n\n * Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Cost Engineer with a proven track record in major projects or five years’ experience of Cost Clerk in similar industry.\n\n * Assisting Delivery Managers around commercial performance/Purchase Order Utilisation/Missing Tickets/Problem Suppliers\n\n * Support the Project Commercial team in the preparation of cost reports, audit responses, evaluation of Sub-Contractor Applications & issuing of payment notices & GRN on system.\n\n * Collation, organisation and reconciliation of spreadsheet data and data from finance / cost / site record systems and entering such records\n\n * Ability to work collaboratively in a multi-disciplined environment.\n\n * Have strong Stakeholder Management skills.\n\n * Hold relevant Degree Qualifications\n\n * Be proficient on Microsoft Packages including Excel\n\nIf you are looking for an opportunity to join and apply– Contact us now on (phone number removed) To apply for this position contact Mellissa Voong by emailing your C.V to M e l l i s s a. v o o n g @ v I t a l. u k .
