JobPurpose
Tobe a point of contact for all private client related enquiriesreceived by any office but primarily for Gloucester includinginternally referred work from other departments whilst maintainingclient care to the higheststandard.
Thisrole reports to the Legal Director and Head of Private Client(Wills and Probate) in the Bristoloffice.
KeyDuties andResponsibilities
* Tocarry out day to day conduct of Private Client files andresponsible for all aspects of work connected with PrivateClient
* Tobe willing to handle queries from the company s other offices withthe possibility of travelling to those offices from time totime.
* Tobe confident in handling a wide range of Private Client issuesincluding (but not limited to); Wills Probate LPAs Trusts EstatesTax Court ofProtection
* Towork to strict deadlines in a pressurised but friendlyenvironment.
* Toliaise with support staff in a positive and proactivemanner.
* Toliaise with the Legal Director on financial budgeting and trainingrequirements/opportunities.
* Toachieve legitimate billing in line with figures to be agreed withthe LegalDirector.
* Toassist senior members of the Department with substantial case filesand to exhibit flexibility particularly in times ofholiday/sickness.
* Toapply proper professional standards. Gaining an awareness of theprovisions of the office manual and observing best practice in theprevention of claims against the company for professionalnegligence and in particular operating with a high degree ofpersonalorganisation.
* Todemonstrate an awareness of clients needs and perceptions to thedischarge of your work for them and to act promptly proactively andefficiently in relation to all clientmatters.
* Tocomply with all other departmental procedures including theregulation and control clientindebtedness.
* Tomaintain accurate electronic and paperbased records forclients.
* Toact as a positive ambassador for Davies and PartnersSolicitors.
* Toactively participate in the business development of thedepartment.
* Toundertake appropriate and relevant staff development on a regularbasis.
