We are looking to appoint a casual staff to work in the University Sports Centre to provide fitness inductions and a variety of activity classes for students, members and the general public. Successful candidates should have knowledge of health-related fitness issues (including cardiovascular, resistance and free weight operations) and a NVQ Level II in Gym Instruction or equivalent. Experience of working in a gym or leisure centre and of delivering fitness instruction is essential.
Hours of work will be as directed by the Sports Facilities Manager and will be allocated on a casual
basis and in accordance with the requirements of the department by mutual agreement. Allocated
hours of work will normally fall within the Sports Centre opening hours on Wednesdays, Fridays
and Saturdays, with some flexibility during the week.
