The Records Control Specialist is responsible for the inputs, updates, and management of the product and testing data into business software databases or official repositories by PL. This role is responsible for the accuracy of data or records inputs as information will be used to provide manufacturing and customers with finished products databooks/specifications/certificate of analysis. Additional responsibility pertaining to Quality Assurance will be required of this role. These include but are not limited to supporting site QC supervisor and PQE with raising Notification of Inspections (NFI), concession verifications, following up on audit closure, CAPA update, QCR, QMR, and MOC related tasks.
As a Record Control Quality Specialist, you will be responsible for:
* Understanding SAP Bill of Materials, relevant material certifications, and specifications.
* Being responsible for data review and completeness of all records and operations reviewed.
* Performing Databook/product specification compilations and ensuring accuracy prior to uploading to Baker Hughes repository system or handing to customer’s inspector to review prior to assembly or product final release.
* Collaborating with quality control and manufacturing/workshop planning, preparing product databooks/product specifications, and customer inspection scheduling.
* Supporting the generation of KPI reporting using MS Excel, ERP, and/or Support center.
* Being the focal point for customer and Independent Competent Body (ICB) interactions including notifications and punch list management.
* Participating in quality audits, material review boards, kaizens, or root cause analysis.
* Verifying completeness of all operations and records.
* Driving quality culture onsite.
* Completing and maintaining inspection records and inspection log calibration.
* Initiating non-conformance reports on all products, parts, assemblies, and subassemblies that do not meet requirements.
* Collaborating with site quality, SDT, and manufacturing engineering on RCA, corrective actions, and continuous improvement.
* Working with Baker Hughes management system databases and systems (Alfresco, Agility, Gensuite, Oracle, etc.).
* Collaborating with onsite QC supervisor, inspectors, PQE, and SD team to ensure operational targets are met.
* Ensuring the structure, quality of presentation, and legibility of databooks meet the customer’s requirements and the Baker Hughes standards.
* Time booking hours for the project.
* Reporting progress of the records compilation progress to customer/internal stakeholders.
Fuel your passion
To be successful in this role you will:
* Have a bachelor’s degree in an Engineering subject.
* Have proven experience in document control, records management, or quality assurance, ideally within Subsea or Surface Pressure Control.
* Have strong knowledge of document management software and tools.
* Have excellent organizational and time management skills.
* Have a high attention to detail and accuracy.
* Be enthusiastic to learn and adapt to the dynamic challenges in a service O&G sector.
* Exposure/previous experience in using API 6A & API Q2 standards places the candidate at an advantage.
