Job Description
Our client focuses on the high-end luxury arena supplying to top restaurants and luxury hotels and is looking for a General Manager – Sales.
Key Accountabilities:
1. Overall responsibility for the day-to-day management of the business with particular focus on the luxury hotel, retail, and gifting markets.
2. Responsibility to deliver key specified company objectives in terms of profitability, service, and brand.
3. Reporting to Directors on a regular basis.
4. Overall responsibility for delivering agreed sales targets, working with the Director of Global Marketing to ensure all opportunities are explored and new contracts are secured.
5. Overall responsibility for ensuring the operation of the business runs effectively to deliver agreed targets of customer service and satisfaction.
6. Submit reports as needed/requested, which may include reports on sales performance, profitability, staffing, and operations.
7. Manage allocations at a state, distributor, and account level to leverage best use for optimum benefit to gross margin and brand equity.
8. Deep understanding of how to build our client's luxury F&B brand in the marketplace.
9. Ability to handle multiple challenges simultaneously.
10. Analyse and communicate results and trends of sales-based marketing research.
11. Under corporate directive, develop and manage new sales strategies and programs to increase product sales.
12. Periodically review distributor performance through Sales Managers and review gaps in performance addressing reasons and actionable steps to close the gaps.
Professional Skills & Experience:
1. Senior level experience within a premium brand in the F&B, FMCG, or Hospitality sector.
2. A significant network of contacts in HoReCa.
3. Experience at Managing Tenders and Negotiating Contracts.
4. Strong communication skills and IT fluency.
5. Ability to work under pressure and multi-task.
6. Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage budgets.
7. Ability to flourish in an SME, being proactive and a self-starter are key.
8. Proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
9. An inspirational manager with the skill to personally land new contracts with leading hotel chains.
10. A proven track record of success.
