If so, we would love to have you on our team We have an opportunity to grow and develop a newly formed intervention at the Academy and are looking for an enthusiastic and experience individual to support students who are struggling to engage with the mainstream curriculum. You will assist with the delivery of bespoke and personalised behavioural and emotional support, alongside small-classroom teaching. The successful candidate will have significant experience and expertise in supporting students who are disengaged in school. It is essential that you have a good understanding of barriers to learning, including social, emotional and mental health needs and are proficient in supportive strategies. You must be able to demonstrate sound communications skills and be competent in the process of monitoring and reviewing student progress. You must have GCSE English and Maths at Grade C/Level 4 or above. In addition, you must hold a relevant Level 3 qualification or be enrolled on the Level 3 Teaching Assistant Apprenticeship once in post. Professional Responsibilities will include: Supporting the management of good behaviour, conflict resolution, and the promotion of positive peer relationships in line with school procedures. Identifying and solving potential challenges for the students you support, to enable a positive learning environment for all. Overseeing the preparation of classrooms with subject-specific learning materials and resources. Providing detailed feedback to the teacher on achievements, progress, and concerns for the students you support and keep accurate records as required. Supporting with marking and delivering feedback to students as appropriate. Supporting the AIM Lead with the delivery of learning activities outside of the classroom.
