We are seeking a dedicated and empathetic Support and Protect Social Worker to join our team. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring the safety, well-being, and empowerment of individuals facing challenging circumstances. Responsibilities:
1. Conduct assessments to identify risks, strengths, and needs of individuals and families.
2. Develop and implement support and protection plans in collaboration with clients and relevant stakeholders.
3. Advocate for the rights and needs of vulnerable individuals, ensuring their voices are heard within various systems.
4. Provide counseling and emotional support to individuals and families facing complex challenges.
5. Collaborate with law enforcement, legal professionals, healthcare providers, and community resources to ensure comprehensive support.
6. Connect clients with relevant services, resources, and interventions to enhance their safety and well-being.
7. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of assessments, interventions, and progress for each client.
8. Conduct home visits and participate in case conferences as necessary.
9. Intervene in crisis situations and provide immediate support and protection.
10. Stay informed about relevant laws, policies, and best practices related to social work and protection services.
Qualifications:
11. Qualified Social Worker with relevant professional registration.
12. Experience in supporting and protecting vulnerable individuals, including victims of abuse, neglect, or exploitation.
13. Strong understanding of relevant legislation, policies, and ethical considerations.
14. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
15. Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
