Where will you be working?
MEICA and capital maintenance - Our Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, Control & Automation (MEICA) experts offer a one-stop solution, including ongoing operation and maintenance services.
What will you be doing?
You will be responsible for maintaining various water assets, including:
CSO valves
Penstocks
Hydraulic Power Units (HPUs)
Isolation gates
Inspection of chambers and valve equipment
Oil equipment inspection, including draining and replacing oil systems
Inspection of fixed equipment (fixed ladders, safety bars, grills, etc.)
Utilising tooling and measuring equipment, in accordance with engineering drawings and layouts
Operating lifting equipment and following approved processes for plant equipment transportation
Supporting reactive works during breakdownsWhat’s essential?
Previous experience as a fitter
Trained or qualified as an apprentice, or to an equivalent NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical Engineering
Successful completion of ONC/HNC in Engineering, NVQ, or C&G Level 3 in Mechanical Engineering
Excellent attention to detail
Strong focus on safety and quality, with a collaborative teamwork approach
Full UK driver’s licenseAdvantageous:
Experience with mobile plant (FLT, MEWP)
Work at Height certification
Manual Handling qualification
Confined Space Entry experience
Pendent Crane use experienceIn addition, this role offers;
