What will this role achieve?
We are looking to recruit a highly motivated individual for a Production Operative - Team Member role. You will have the opportunity to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment producing products for a leading UK brand.
What will be your key deliverables?
1. You will be responsible for the manufacture of cake based, chocolate enrobed products on a continuous operation.
2. Carry out all pre-start checks.
3. Carry out product quality evaluations throughout the shift.
4. Understand equipment and machinery set up.
5. Be able to work in a cross-functional working environment.
6. Ensure changeovers are completed to procedure.
7. Ensure all documentation is filled in correctly and to the right standard.
8. Shift handovers are completed in area and to agreed agenda.
9. Train peers and new operatives in equipment use and procedures when required.
10. Undertake basic problem diagnosis and maintenance.
11. Communicate directly with relevant person to resolve any issues.
12. Control and operate a variety of processes and equipment to the highest standards of safety and quality.
13. Ensure the efficient operation of process equipment whilst carrying out quality inspections and maintaining a safe working environment.
14. Maximise plant efficiency whilst minimising waste.
15. Ensure housekeeping and hygiene standards are maintained to the highest of levels.
16. Working to the highest standards of GMP.
17. Supporting the business with the generation of any improvement initiatives.
Bring your experience
Essential
1. The successful applicant will work as part of a dynamic team and be able to perform the various roles required. They must have a ‘can do’ attitude and positive approach and help maintain the high standards required in food production.
2. Basic numerical and literacy knowledge.
3. Manual dexterity.
4. Basic communication skills.
5. Basic problem recognition.
6. Ownership essential. Must be accountable for own work and area.
7. Supportive within the team.
8. Be able to multi-task.
Desirable
1. Previous experience is desirable but not essential, training will be given.
2. Knowledge of manufacturing environment.
3. Understand zonal Key Performance Indicators (production targets, waste levels and line performance).
