About the Business: This client is a rapidly growing MGA based in the West Midlands which are currently growing at a rate of 35% year on year They have ambitious plans to continue this growth and are looking to bring in a Compliance Officer to help on that journey. This business offers great flexibility with 2 days in the office a week. About the Opportunity: The purpose of this role is to support the Head of Compliance in ensuring the business is adhering to legal and regulatory requirements, and the requirements applicable to the business. You will be joining a team of 4 Compliance professionals reporting to the Head of Compliance. You will need to build effective relationships within the business to ensure that an effective compliance culture is in place, promoting positive engagement and behaviours. This is a key role in implementing our compliance strategy and maintaining high-quality service for stakeholders. What you'll be doing: - Provide operational compliance advice and support across the business to ensure they are meeting their legal and regulatory obligations. - Maintain regulatory policies, procedures and processes to ensure they support the business in satisfying regulatory requirements and reflect operations appropriately. - Maintain the Financial Crime Framework and support the business to ensure compliance with the FCA's Financial Crime Guide, monitoring first-line controls for effectiveness against financial crime and fraud mitigation. - Develop training materials on a range of compliance topics. Delivery of regulatory training to the business ensuring awareness of relevant legislation and practices. - Monitor business performance on the identification, notification and handling of potential breaches, considering if external regulatory breaches may have occurred. Ensure all breaches are being handled in accordance with internal SLA's and tracking remedial action through to completion. What you'll need to be successful: - Ideally you will have a background working in an insurance environment, preferably for an MGA or Broker dealing with delegated underwriting authorities. - Demonstrable experience working in a compliance or conduct role. - Good knowledge of FCA Rules and Regulations. - CII Qualifications would be desirable.
