Axcis Education are currently recruiting for a Teaching Assistant to support a mainstream primary school’s SEND provision in the Axminster area. The pupils in this school that are supported by their committed SEND provision are involved in the classroom, in small groups, and on a 1:1 basis depending on the individual needs of the pupil. Experience with, and a knowledge of Social and Emotional Mental Health (SEMH) and Autistic Spectrum Condition (ASC) would be beneficial to applicants for this position, as the school supports a diverse range of SEND. Applicants successful in supporting the school’s vision of supporting positive development will have: - A drive for supporting students with their emotional and behavioural challenges - Good communication skill and ability to build rapport - Patience, empathy, and a non-judgmental approach - Willingness to learn and adapt to different situations The school are looking for a full-time teaching assistant between the school hours of 8:30 – 3:30. Due to the transport links in the East Devon area, holding a driving license is desirable. This role would be for a September start, at the start of the next academic year.
