Person Specification
Qualifications / Training
Essential criteria:
1. General medical Qualification e.g. MBBS, or equivalent and hold a Licence to Practise.
2. Membership of the Royal College of Anaesthetics or recognised equivalent in any other country.
Desirable criteria:
1. Qualification or higher degree in medical education, clinical research or management.
2. Additional clinical qualification.
Eligibility
Essential criteria:
1. Must be in possession or within 6 months of possession of a CCT in Anaesthetics.
Clinical Skills, Knowledge & Experience
Essential criteria:
1. Excellent knowledge in specialty.
2. Evidence of effective multidisciplinary team involvement.
3. Excellent clinical skills using bio-psycho-social perspective and wider medical knowledge.
4. Make decisions based on evidence and experience including contribution of others.
5. Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Desirable criteria:
1. Teaching Experience.
2. Wide range of specialist and sub-specialist experience relevant to post within the NHS or comparable service.
