We work closely with a lovely special school based in Frome that is looking for a teacher to join the team in leading a class, 3 days a week. The school looks after a wide range of special needs & disabilities from ages 4-16.
The role
There are 9 students in the class, and all of these pupils have learning and cognition needs to varying degrees. There are a range of diagnoses within the class including Downs Syndrome, ASC, and Cerebral Palsy. Some pupils are verbal, some use AAC to communicate (including Eye Gaze), and some are non-verbal.
Experience working at a special school is preferred due to the needs of the students, but the school is open to a range of applications due to the urgency of this position. QTS is also preferred.
