Job summary The post would be suitable for any trainee who has experience at or above the level of completion of Foundation year two. Ideally the trainee should have started MRCP and have completed MRCP Part 1 or bepreparing for this. This post will be an integral part of Acute Oncology multidisciplinary team caring for cancer patients in the local area.It will provide an individual with the opportunity to gain experience in managing haematology and oncologypatients in an outpatient and day unit setting. Whilst also supporting the acute assessment of patients andfacilitating their prompt initial management and admission, the post holder will have the opportunity todevelop skills and experience in Clinical Haematology, Oncology and Acute oncology. Clinical duties will include: Participation in Acute Oncology Service - assessment, review, advice and intervention of patients receiving Chemotherapy, immunotherapy and radiotherapy.
