Tameside Secondary Schools – Cover Supervisor Position Title: Cover Supervisor Location: Various Secondary Schools in Tameside Start Date: Immediate / As Required Daily Rate: £89 – £100 Overview This role provides an excellent opportunity for individuals to gain classroom experience while contributing to the smooth running of lessons in secondary schools. As a Cover Supervisor, you will manage classrooms in the absence of teaching staff, ensuring that the learning process continues seamlessly. Key Responsibilities Lesson Delivery: Implement pre-set lesson plans provided by the subject teacher, ensuring pupils are engaged and on task. Classroom Management: Maintain a positive and disciplined classroom environment using established school policies. Support Role: Act as a point of contact for pupils during the teacher’s absence, addressing any concerns and ensuring continuity in learning. Feedback Collection: Report on pupil progress and any issues encountered during the lesson to the relevant teaching staff. Adherence to Policies: Follow all school safeguarding, health, and safety protocols rigorously. Qualifications & Experience Prior experience in an educational setting is advantageous but not essential; enthusiasm and willingness to learn are key. Excellent communication and organisational skills. A proactive approach to classroom management and the ability to engage with pupils from diverse backgrounds. Flexibility in working hours and adaptability to various classroom environments.
