Job Purpose
We have an exciting opportunity for you to join us as a Regional Response Coordinator. You'll coordinate both our Permanent and Agency workforce along with ensuring the correct vehicles are assigned to the resource. This will be for both planned and reactive work.
You will be required to advise, support and assist associated internal and external departments during water, wastewater and reservoir emergency incidents throughout our region.
Accountabilities & Responsibilities
* Ensure compliance with all driving hours, O Licence, H&S and training legislation.
* The ability to organise self, team and others in a busy reactive environment is key to the role.
* Build daily/weekly schedules for the team to ensure all cyclic work is carried out in a safe, timely, and consistent manner.
* Manipulate planned schedules to allow release of sufficient resource in reply to reactive requests.
* Pre-work site visits to ascertain level, type and nature of resource required for planned work.
* Direct the day-to-day operation of the Regional Response resource within parameters set by the Regional Response Manager and Team Leaders.
* To invoke contracts with external providers of plant and people.
* Make judgements based on experience, company and manufacturers guidelines and procedures.
* Work with key customers to agree alternative supply solutions (proactive planning and reactive in incidents).
* To receive and priorities work received by the Regional Response Team.
* To schedule work to the Regional Response Controllers.
* To report on activities and productivity of team and team members.
* To design solutions utilising emergency plant (in house and externally sourced).
* To identify and implement improvements in the UUW emergency plant and alternative supplies capability including the balance between in-house capability and contracted arrangements.
Technical Skills & Experience
* Knowledge of OLAT licence.
* Knowledge of the requirements for transport compliance.
* Ability to design solutions and coordinate delivery.
* Demonstrable high regard for H&S policy and procedures.
* Good interpersonal skills.
* Previous experience of working in a fast-paced reactive environment.
* Ability to accurately exchange complex information to customers, colleagues and senior managers.
* Planning and Scheduling experience beneficial.
