Who Are We? We are McGee. A specialist engineering contractor, with a reputation for designing and delivering some of London’s most complex and innovative civil engineering projects. To name just a few: Constructing Europe’s deepest habitable basement, The Londoner Hotel. Delivering the impossible at Claridge’s Hotel’s mega basement and more recently, designing out 88% of The Acre’s embodied carbon of the temporary works. We provide a value-based integrated approach. Focusing on quality and innovation. We develop smart engineering solutions to complex problems and develop methods of working that enable fast delivery with safety and quality by design. We operate a risk-based approach in everything that we do, identifying and mitigating risks through our planning. We compliment this with our in-house supply chain, self-delivery philosophy and our support services. We have technical and operational specialists within each of our core disciplines, including an in-house Construction Engineering team (CET), providing temporary works sequences and solution design and digital modelling. Key Responsibilities: Creating intricate temporary and enabling works models for both existing and proposed structures using Revit. Ensuring seamless coordination of design and task team models, collaborating closely with site and Construction Engineering team engineers for fully coordinated solutions. Generating drawings and models for site teams to use in procurement and construction. Creating models for clash detection. Developing models suitable for animation, bid/tender responses, cost analysis, and planning (4D5D). Populate models with Twinmotion’s assets, including textures, lighting, vegetation, people, and vehicles to create realistic scenes. Develop animated walkthroughs and flythroughs to showcase designs in a dynamic and interactive way. Create high-quality visualisations and adjust lighting, weather, and time-of-day settings to enhance the environment. Actively participating in design coordination meetings, documenting changes, and potential issues. Creating models to provide the Carbon team with volumes and carbon values, assisting key project stakeholders in carbon-related decisions. Producing and maintaining 3D as-built models for project handover and tracking newly installed buried services. Propose innovations and adaptations to CET and McGee’s methods of working. Support the team to deliver, manage performance and development, and assist in recruitment. Key Skills: Proficiency in Revit, with experience creating Revit families and managing templates. Experience with Twinmotion is essential. Experience in other software’s such as Blender, 3DS Max, Unreal Engine, Lumen etc. would be advantageous. Strong ability to coordinate models and work with AutoCAD, IFC, and Point Clouds. Knowledge of structural systems, load paths, and construction sequences. Ideally the candidate will have experience with video and image editing software such as Adobe suite products or similar. We are open to someone who is either stronger in Visualisation or stronger in Revit but is happy to switch between both. More importantly you will be someone who wants to grow with the role and potentially move into a lead position in the near future. Why McGee? We’re on the cusp of our next big leap and this is an excellent opportunity for you to make your mark……. This role not only offers exciting design engineering challenges – it allows the opportunity to directly influence the construction process.
