A kind and patient personal assistant is required to support a bright, autistic eight-year-old boy in Truro who is currently non-verbal.
Your support will help him explore the local area, enjoy social opportunities, and establish a fun and engaging routine, particularly during school holidays.
He is a very active boy with high sensory needs and loves being outdoors. We are looking to introduce him to a variety of social activities.
The role is for five hours per week, with flexible scheduling to suit the candidate’s availability.
Pay starts at £12.00 per hour, with the potential for an increase based on skills and experience.

Experience working with children with autism or complex needs is beneficial, but a compassionate attitude and willingness to learn are equally important.
A full driving licence and access to transport are desirable, with a mileage allowance payable.
The successful applicant will be employed under a private arrangement with the family, and not be employed or carry out work for Cornwall Council.
