Title: Maintenance Engineer
Location: Rochester, Kent
Shifts: 4 on 4 off Shifts (Permanent Nights, 18:00 - 06:00)
Salary: Circa £50,000 - £52,000 Basic + Competitive Benefits
The Company:
My client is a nationally recognised manufacturer currently working with some very impressive big names within the food production industry. Due to their growth, they are seeking a maintenance engineer with experience within an FMCG manufacturing industry (preferably food) or a similar work environment to join their team. They have set up a brand new site with the latest equipment, a canteen serving hot and cold foods on-site 24/7, yearly pay rises and appraisals to discuss career progression, free parking, electric car charging ports, and options for shift patterns and training!
The Candidate:
The ideal candidate would be a competent maintenance engineer comfortable working in a fast-paced, regulated automated environment. You must be able to work well with others, have a positive attitude towards work, and want to grow within the company long-term. The role will include supporting the team in dismantling and replacing machine parts, upholding health and safety regulations, and conducting all mandatory logs.
Requirements:
1. Several years of experience working within an FMCG environment, preferably food production.
2. Completed an onsite apprenticeship or hold a level 3 NVQ in Engineering or similar.
3. Confident working with hydraulics, pneumatics, conveyors, pumps, motors, rollers, gearboxes, fabrication repairs, and fitting new parts.
4. Competent fault finding and repairing on a range of electrical equipment.
5. Ambitious, enthusiastic, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
6. Enthusiastic, approachable, and a can-do attitude to work.
