TPF Recruitment, Kent’s leading accountancy practice recruitment agency, is supporting a fantastic firm of chartered accountants based in Dover in their recruitment for an Accounts Senior. Our client boasts a great working environment with a very experienced and friendly team. They have seen good growth over the last 5 years and are now looking to recruit an additional Accounts Senior into their team with excellent progression prospects on offer.
You will be exposed to a wide range of businesses from large corporates through to not-for-profit organisations. You will have lots of responsibility but also be offered an excellent work-life balance, with clear progression prospects on offer.
Responsibilities
* Responsible for a client portfolio (Ltd companies, sole traders, and partnerships) spanning various industries and of differing turnovers.
* Preparation of Year End financial statements in accordance with FRS102-1A and FRS105 using IRIS accounting software.
* Computations for corporation tax CT600 returns and submission to the HMRC.
* Preparing personal tax SA100 returns for self-employed and high net worth individuals.
* Producing quarterly VAT returns and submitting these to the HMRC.
* Supporting and reviewing the work of other staff members.
* Utilising cloud-based software such as XERO, QuickBooks, and Sage50 for accounting tasks as required by clients.
Requirements
* ACA or ACCA fully qualified.
* 3+ years of practice experience.
* Experience leading and supervising audit teams up to 3 people.
* Be an approachable and hands-on leader.
* Competent planning and completion skills.
* Be up-to-date with technical knowledge including any recent changes.
* Computer literate - good Excel, Word, and accounting software experience.
Salary: £35,000 - £45,000 dependent on experience and background, negotiable.
