This is an exciting role with great potential to develop your commercial acumen and business partnering skills. You will play an important role by partnering with our Core solutions team, the global commercial team as well as the MFG team and our client MediaLab team. This is an EMEA role sitting in the UK but with plenty of interactions with other EMEA markets ensuring compliance and adherence to our clients and global commercial team’s varying needs. You will have the opportunity to be part of and contribute to the overall success of the MFG commercial team by supporting the Commercial Manager/and Commercial Director in providing valuable insights and analysis to optimise commercial insight. You will need exceptional attention to detail, strong analytical skills and good communication skills. Working in a sociable team with a passion for delivering insightful work and building strong business relationships with our clients and the wider agency Measures of success In three months, you would have: Established an understanding of the different aspects of what EssenceMediacom does and how the media cycle flows specifically on the MFG/Google account Work closely with Commercial Manager/Commercial Director and the People’s team in owning and maintaining the staff plans, ensuring accuracy of the data which plays a key role in optimizing operational efficiency Establish strong working relationships with the EMEA market and the global commercial team, ensuring we are delivering and meeting the varying needs of our client in a timely manner Build a strong relationship with the core solutions team, the peoples team and well as the global commercial team by being proactive and providing ad-hoc support as needed In six months, you would have: Gained exposure to relevant commercial training and be able to provide commercial training to the media team to ensure compliance with contracts/MSAs. Work with the market to agree inter-company fees/recharges and inter-company balance sheet reconciliation. Supported the Compliance/media core solution team in providing the client audit and compliance deliverables Started to build a network of contacts within client finance and commercial/procurement teams as well as the wider EMEA markets. In 12 months, you would have: Calculated the monthly MFG fee using client approved rate cards and hours Support the Commercial Manager/commercial Director as well as the global commercial lead in delivering commercial insight to the business Started taking ownership with statutory audit, ensuring a proactive approach that ensure audit requests are delivered in a timely manner Some of the r esponsibilities of the role - Work closely with the MFG Senior Commercial Manager and Commercial Director to ensure client deliverables, as well as internal finance deliverables are met on an on-going basis. - Work closely with Senior Commercial Manager to calculate Google Net sales (revenue) for all EMEA markets monthly and report to the various Opco (reporting entities). - Collaborate with MFG Global Commercial team to ensure monthly client utilization nad other deliverables are submitted on time - Help to maintain the integrity of client staff plan by working closely with the people’s team and Operations team - Own the relationship with the EMEA market, ensuring markets are being supported to ensure client deliverables are met. - Take responsibility for Google Compliance check working closely with the EMEA markets and the Client Solutions team. - Support the EMEA team in ensuring client and inter-markets billings are done on time and campaigns are fully reconciled to help optimize Net Working Capital - Be the main point of contact for the Client Solutions team and the Google Media team in solving daily queries. - Together with the Senior Commercial Manager, take responsibility for for income reporting, variance analysis and well as evidencing back up for SOX purposes What you will need - You must come with a desire to learn, grow and develop as you work towards yo ur Accountancy qualification - Proactive approach, a logical and analytical thought process, with good attention to detail and high level of accuracy in their output - Willingness to learn and understand the media and communications industry - Collaborative team player, relationship builder with a can-do attitude, lots of energy and drive - Highly self-motivated, flexible and possess a high level of initiative.
