Due to continued investment, this leading-edge manufacturing business is currently in the midst of a huge recruitment drive and is looking for a Stress Engineer to join their growing team in Pistone on 6 months contract basis. The role: Job requires a detailed finite element analysis of stationary and rotating assemblies using Ansys Workbench. This will also require ability to do hand-calculations to provide preliminary assessments as well as verifying the analysis results. The job involves working closely with the in-house design and stress teams, keeping them updated with progress and providing top quality deliverables, including presentations and technical reports, on time. Role responsibilities: Within the role of Stress Engineer you'll be responsible for: Product, assembly and component level meshing, model setup and analysis in Ansys Workbench. Linear & nonlinear stress, modal, harmonic and random vibration analysis of stationary and rotating assemblies. Rotordynamics. Experience of explicit dynamics analysis e.g. using LS-Dyna will be beneficial. You: Metallic, non-metallic and composite materials and their behaviour; Damage mechanisms including plasticity and fatigue (LCF/HCF, experience with nCode is preferred). Technical report writing in English & presentation skills.
