An opportunity to be part of the core team, delivering various projects as part of a large Framework across the South West region \n \nThis Design Manager role will be pivotal in the immobilisation of this new Framework and will be a key member with your primary role to lead projects through their design phases\n\nKey Duties:\n \nBe committed to excellence in Health & Safety (H&S) in design, complying fully with relevant local specifications, codes, rules, regulations and requirements and all relevant H&S legislation. \nTo ensure that H&S hazards are identified and managed and that all residual risks are communicated effectively to all stakeholders. \nTo lead the Design team in delivery of their responsibilities and to ensure a focused approach to meet customer requirements and project objectives.
\nTo be accountable for the expenditure, drive efficiency and manage the overall outturn costs for design by producing design deliverables within the allocated resource hours and by key dates. \nTo organise all elements of design, documenting it in the Design Management Plan and preparing monthly status update reports as necessary. \nTo attend and contribute to all relevant programme, project, and technical meetings.
There is a lot more to this Design Manager role and in order for us to speak to the relevant people, we ask before applying, you have the following:\n \nExtensive experience of multi-disciplinary design management, in a design-build environment. \nDegree in an engineering-related discipline. \nAPM Project Fundamentals Qualification.
\nMust be delivery-driven with the ability to set targets and manage and motivate multi-disciplinary teams to deliver to time, cost and quality objectives. \nStrategic, operational, technical and management skills. \nGood general knowledge of all aspects of water treatment e.g., related process, civil and MEICA engineering aspects.
