The Opportunity
In this role, your primary focus will be to manage the risk assessment and mitigation activities with our supply chain. Initially, your focus will be the data privacy requirements and obligations in our supply chain. More generally, you will develop into managing legislative compliance, and best possible provisions, in our supplier agreements. You will design and lead processes that ensure excellence in our due diligence processes that is maintained throughout the life of the supplier relationship – ensuring that our compliance is always current and information is available to support our actions and decisions. You will be recognised as an expert within the organisation in this area, supporting others throughout the procurement process. The role will report to the Head of Vendor Risk & Assurance
Based within the Procurement Function and reporting to the Head of Vendor Risk & Assurance, you will work with category leads and other key roles to explore, initiate and embed sustainable, ethical, social value and inclusivity improvements across all of our activities, working with colleagues across the firm in an area that is close to our firm’s strategy and values. Is this role right for you?
We are looking for people who:
· Have a clear understanding of GDPR and similar Data Protection Regulations in the context of commercial contracts.
· Can administer and draft data privacy contractual clauses including application of the SCCs (Standard contractual clauses) for international transfers.
· Have experience of supply chain/procurement risk in general – knowledge of a number of areas.
· You may have a strong services procurement background or a strong legal advisory background – either way you will be comfortable with business-to-business procurement contracts
Have a strong compliance mindset and drive and have operated in an international organisation
