Finance & Payroll Assistant
Stephen Sanderson Transport Ltd has an exciting opportunity at our Sallow Road (Corby) office, for a Finance & Payroll Assistant to support the Finance team with the day to day running of the accounts and payroll processing. This position would suit someone who is driven and passionate, and has good knowledge and experience with Accounts Payable and/or Payroll. The successful candidate will have meticulous attention to detail, be able to communicate to all stakeholders in a concise and clear manner and be a great team player. They will have sound knowledge of accounting as well as excellent skills with Microsoft Excel. This position would suit someone who thrives on delivering excellence and has a desire to add value to the business through their work.
Key duties:
· Support the Payroll function to deliver accurate and timely weekly and monthly payroll.
· Accurate recording and reporting of payroll data.
· Managing Accounts payable.
· Payroll and accounting query resolution.
· Supporting and processing of statutory reports.
· Maintain a positive working relationship with business stakeholders.
· Work in partnership with other team members to deliver excellent customer service.
Requirements
· AAT qualification (preferred)
· Part or full degree educated (advantageous)
· Proven experience of Payroll Management
· Proven experience of Accounts Payable management.
· Strong skills in Microsoft Excel or other data analytic software packages
· Ability to multitask
· Excellent organisation and planning skills
· Astute attention to detail
· Ability to work as part of a team
· Good communication skills, both written and verbal
· Reliable, flexible, and able to work to tight deadlines
· Able to work on own initiative and without supervision
· Ability to stay focused and work under pressure
· Approachable, calm and professional manner
Additional Info
The position is office based at Sallow Road, Corby, working Monday 9am to Friday 5pm – 35 hours per week (with an hour unpaid meal break).
Salary range: £27,000 - £32,000 pa (based on full time hours and dependant on experience)
