Teaching Assistant (E6272) - St Philip’s Catholic Primary School
The Governing Body is seeking to appoint a committed teaching assistant with vision, energy, and ambition for our wonderful and welcoming school. We are looking for a confident, enthusiastic, and calm member of staff whose role will be to work with children across our primary school.
The role will involve working under the direction of the class teacher to support individual children and small groups of pupils. The right candidate will be able to demonstrate personal qualities of dedication, patience, flexibility, humour, and a strong desire to work with children. Working collaboratively as part of a multi-professional team, you will be able to respond quickly to the changing needs of the school and the individual children, as well as demonstrating good levels of Maths and English.
Minimum Requirements
* GCSE C plus or equivalent in Maths and English
* Supportive of the Catholic ethos of the school
* A passion to work with primary-aged children and make a difference in their lives
* Ability to relate to and work with children
* Flexibility to work across the primary age phase or as 1 to 1 support and as class support
* A willingness to undertake first aid training, safeguarding training, curriculum development, and communication development
* A high level of competency in computing
* An understanding of how children learn
* An ability to offer skills to the wider school
* Skills & talents that could be used to support our extra-curricular activity provision
