Salary: Starting salary £15 - £17.00 per hour (depending on level of experience). Occasional weekend work available at £20 / £25 per hour. Lucrative monthly bonus awarded dependent on the success of projects, circa £2,500 per annum.
Hours: 40 hours per week, 7.30am – 4pm Monday to Friday (some flexibility required due to nature of the business).

Operating out of a large workshop in Crediton, we look after clients all around the area and, after minimal staff turnover, are seeking to replace a retiring member of our team by recruiting a welder fabricator who can offer experience and flexible solutions to our clients' problems.

Responsibilities:
1. Undertaking welding and fabrication for the manufacture of new or repairing replacement machinery, parts, and equipment.
2. Fabricating and assembling steel structures and equipment using welders, cutters, drills, and measuring tools.
3. Welding to a high standard in MIG.
4. Operating and using various hand and power tools.
5. Assembly of new machinery.
6. Installation of machinery, steelwork, and storage solutions.
Minimum Requirements:
1. Ability to MIG weld and fabricate to a high standard.
2. Willingness to help with the assembly and erection of projects on site.
3. Previous experience of working in a heavy engineering/fabrication environment.
4. High standards of welding/fabrication experience in MIG with the ability to read fabrication drawings and follow detailed specifications and instructions.
5. Ability to work to deadlines.
6. Flexible working hours to help meet deadlines due to the nature of the business.
7. Formal welding or fabrication qualifications are an advantage but not essential.
8. Full driving licence is preferred as a company vehicle is provided to travel to and from site.
