Due to the continued success and expansion of Magdalene, we have an exciting opportunity for a NOC Engineer to support our growing business.
This role is based in Kirkintilloch, Scotland. You will be required to work 2 days on/2 nights on, followed by 4 days off.

The role & responsibilities:
A key customer-facing role, providing professional expertise on the day-to-day management of the SPEN strategic network and in the handover of services from Provide to Assure. You will be required to assist in project delivery on behalf of SPEN with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues. Liaise with Scottish Power staff and external suppliers to deliver all Provide related activities within SLA timescales.
You will:
* Deliver proactive network monitoring and implement corrective action to ensure optimal network performance.
* Provide remote support to Field Engineers working on faults.
* Prioritise network alarms and incidents to fulfil KPI/SLA commitments.
* Liaise between internal departments, 3rd party suppliers, and customers within agreed SLAs.
* Complete network reports and analysis when required.
* Ensure governance of processes within the NOC environment.
* Help drive improvement initiatives to conclusion within agreed timescales.
* Work well within our NOC team and have the ability to work shift patterns.
What we need from you:
* Capable of working to 2nd/3rd line support level in PDH, SDH & IP environments.
* Experienced in the use of System Management Platforms (e.g., CNMS, Nokia N-FMP, CISCO Prime).
* Structured approach to delivery governance on complex networks.
* Understanding of network management and the use of Network Management Platform tools.
* Must be PC literate and competent with Word, Excel, Visio, and MS Project.
* Track record of successfully prioritising simultaneous activities within SLA.
* A self-motivating individual with the ability to develop strong customer relationships as well as function in a team environment.
* Strong interpersonal, negotiating, and communication skills.
* Ability to manage complex customer interfaces.
* Planning and managing risk in a support environment.
* Ability to produce reports and manage special investigations.
* Proven track record in complex delivery.
* Knowledge of high voltage substation environment (33kv-400kv).
