Job Title: Software Asset Analyst
Salary: £28,800 - £37,425
Location: The Triangle Building, Cambridge, Hybrid working
Contract: Permanent 35 hours per week (compressed hours are available)
As a Software Asset Analyst, you will have a vital role in managing our software estate. You will be responsible for the control of software assets throughout their entire lifecycle; this entails managing requests for new software, ensuring compliance, asset inventories, usage and disposal, and looking at ways to maximise value and optimise the total cost of ownership.

About the role
1. To ensure we maximise our software estate you will manage the following:
2. Acquisition, allocation, renewal and retirement activities.
3. Identify opportunities for optimisation through retrieval and re-deployment.
4. Asset support and maintenance contracts are successfully managed through the renewals process.
5. Work with Application Owners, Suppliers & Procurement to maximise investments.
Create effective license positions and carry out internal audits to ensure compliance. About you
This role will suit someone with strong organisational skills, the ability to prioritise multiple workstreams and manage time effectively within a busy working team is essential.
We are looking for someone with:
6. 2 years + of working in a similar position or equivalent experience and knowledge of Tier 1 vendors.
7. Ability review and synthesise complex information.

9. Strong written and verbal communications.
