About the Role:
Wirral Council is seeking enthusiastic applicants for a role in its Design & Commissioning team, highway design function which is part of the Council's Highways & Infrastructure service. The team is committed to providing a high-quality civil engineering design and engineering project management service to all its clients as an internal traded business unit. The team has a large portfolio of projects from minor highway improvements under the Combined Authority Transport Plan to wider City Region major projects and Key Route Network infrastructure improvements. To help us deliver these services effectively we are seeking highly motivated individuals in the following key roles:
Trainee Technician, Band D - Salary £25,183 - £25,581
Technician, Band F – Salary £27,711 - £30,060
Engineer, Band H – Salary £35,235 - £37,938
Senior Engineer, P03 – Salary £38,626 - £41,511
About the candidate:
The ideal candidate will meet the essential and desirable criteria for their preferred job role. The candidate should consider what personal attributes they can offer to work within a Highway Engineering Team setting. In addition, each candidate should be able to work in an agile manner to meet the needs of the service. The candidate must display good interpersonal skills and be able to work with colleagues to overcome complex engineering solutions. Training will be provided at all grades depending on experience and qualifications.
