Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an individual to join the Healthcare Associated Infection, Antimicrobial Resistance & Prescribing Programme (HARP) Team within the Health Protection division of Public Health Wales NHS Trust, based at Capital Quarter 2, Cardiff. A blended approach to working, from home and the office, is being offered.
We are looking for a highly motivated and reliable Administration Officer with energy, enthusiasm, and commitment. The ideal candidate will possess excellent interpersonal skills and the confidence to handle a wide range of matters with sensitivity and diplomacy.
The successful candidate will build and maintain strong relationships with admin and clinical colleagues within HARP, the broader Health Protection Programmes, and key stakeholders. They will work independently, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability as part of a multidisciplinary team.
This role will primarily support and execute a variety of administrative duties for both administrative and clinical staff within the HARP programme, as well as supporting other teams as needed.

Main duties of the job
The post holder will communicate across directorates, providing comprehensive administrative and clerical support for the Public Health Wales HARP Programme. This includes inbox management, supporting resource coordination and dissemination, organizing meetings, and taking concise, clear minutes.
This is a key role in supporting the daily workload of the HARP or other Programmes.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable; applications from English and Welsh speakers are equally encouraged.
