If so, then this might be the opportunity for you As a mobile Catering Assistant (CA), you will work term time fixed hours and are not expected to work split shifts, nights or weekends; this is great for any childcare needs. You will provide cover for absent CAs across the borough as directed by the Business Support team. Your duties will include moving furniture and setting up dining halls prior to service. You will keep the kitchen clean, tidy, and safe and get involved with food preparation, assisting with food service. You will attend two school kitchen cleaning days prior to the start of the Autumn term and work closely with the school chef. You will be appreciated and thanked every day by the children and play a vital role in many schools being able to operate as usual. About you : Are you passionate about food and dedicated to providing the best possible service? Our Mobile Catering Assistant s need to be flexible, dynamic and able to operate in different kitchens at short notice to support wider service delivery. You will need to have fantastic customer service skills and be able to work with reduced kitchen staffing for short periods. You will be calm when working under pressure and promote a professional image which always mirrors the Team Wigan behaviours. You will support the school chef and other members of the team to prepare, serve and deliver quality meals which energise and inspire school children.
