Head of Finance | PE Backed Tech | Watford/Hybrid
Salary: £85,000 - £95,000 (Depending on experience) - Plus excellent benefits including bonus and share options
We are thrilled to announce our partnership with a dynamic, tech-enabled services company following their first institutional investment.
We are seeking a highly skilled Head of Finance with over 5 years of experience who is ready to advance to a Finance Director (FD) role.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of implementing new systems and controls in a scaling environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Internal Controls and Processes:
1. Establish robust internal controls across accounts payable (AP) and payroll, ensuring clear segregation of duties.
2. Develop and implement clear cost centers across the business to enhance financial tracking and accountability.
3. Ensure a robust month-end close process, including monthly reconciliations (e.g., booking system vs. Xero).
Revenue Recognition and Policies:
1. Implement new revenue recognition policies and processes to align with the company’s growth and financial goals.
2. Continuously review and refine financial policies to ensure compliance and efficiency.
Automation and Efficiency:
1. Explore and implement automation opportunities to scale the finance team and improve operational efficiency.
2. Leverage technology to streamline financial processes and reporting.
Strategic Financial Planning:
1. Prepare the business for significant revenue growth, aiming to double revenue within the next 12 months and again by 2026.
2. Provide strategic financial insights and support to the executive team to drive business growth and profitability.
Qualifications:
1. Over 5 years of experience as a Financial Controller/Head of Finance.
2. Proven experience in implementing new systems and controls in a scaling environment.
3. Strong understanding of financial processes, internal controls, and revenue recognition.
4. Proficiency in financial software (e.g., Xero) and automation tools.
5. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
6. Strong leadership and communication skills.
