Responsibilities:
We are looking for someone who has:
1. A passion for supporting and empowering children and young people.

3. A calm and rational manner when dealing with challenging situations.
4. Experience working with children and young people who have additional needs including behaviour that is a barrier to their education.
5. Patience and understanding for students with challenging behaviour.
6. Confidence to deliver small group and 1-to-1 activities.
7. A team player who engages well with others.
8. A genuine interest in supporting children and young people to reach their full potential.
9. Energetic and hard-working.
10. Flexible and adaptable to change.
11. A glass-half-full person, with a sense of humour and a positive outlook.
Requirements:
1. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent certification.
2. Proven experience in teaching at secondary level, preferably within special needs education.
3. Sound knowledge of the UK national curriculum and relevant teaching methodologies for students with SEN.
4. Ability to differentiate instruction and adapt teaching strategies to meet individual needs.
5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish positive relationships with students, parents/guardians, and colleagues.
6. Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting students with special needs.
7. Strong organizational skills and the ability to effectively manage time and resources.
8. Enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check or willingness to obtain one.
