Job Title: Accounts Assistant
Location: Wellingborough (Hybrid Working)
Salary: £30,000 per annum
Hours: Monday - Friday (Days)
Job Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Assistant to join our finance team. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the financial operations of the business, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in all accounting processes. Key Responsibilities:
1. Assist with the creation of the monthly management dashboard, ensuring accurate and timely reporting.
2. Support the yearly budgeting process, including data analysis and preparation of reports.
3. Prepare efficiency calculations to support business performance reviews.
4. Take ownership of construction industry scheme tax obligations in the UK and ROI, ensuring compliance with all regulations.
5. Assist the team with the yearly external audit, including gathering and organising required documentation.
6. Support the team with six-monthly internal audits to ensure compliance and process efficiency.
7. Manage key supplier accounts, resolving any issues and maintaining strong supplier relationships.
8. Prepare and process manual bank payments as requested.
9. Assist with the overseas payment process, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
10. Perform monthly analysis of the GRNI account, identifying discrepancies and resolving issues.
11. Raise and process sales invoices in a timely and accurate manner.
Preferred Skills & Knowledge:
1. Strong focus on accuracy and ability to spot errors quickly.
2. Good verbal and written communication skills.
3. Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
4. Experience in a manufacturing environment is an advantage.
5. Previous experience with Microsoft Navision is preferred but not essential.
6. Knowledge of US GAAP accounting standards is an advantage.
7. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) is required.
Qualifications & Experience:
1. Relevant qualification in accounting, finance, or a related field.
2. Previous experience in an accounting or finance role.
3. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
4. Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
