Job Title: Management Accountant Location: Coalville, Leicestershire Remuneration: £40,000 - £50,000 per annum, based on experience Contract Details: Permanent, Full Time Responsibilities: Join our dynamic manufacturing organisation as a Management Accountant, where your expertise will drive financial excellence. Your role will be pivotal in delivering insightful financial analysis, streamlining operations, and supporting strategic decision-making across our two trading companies. Financial Reporting & Analysis: - Prepare accurate and timely monthly management accounts. - Conduct variance analysis and investigate discrepancies. - Assist the Finance Director in crafting annual budgets and forecasts. - Collaborate with external auditors for year-end accounts preparation. - Maintain meticulous balance sheet reconciliations. Cost & Performance Management: - Analyse costs to boost profitability and efficiency in the manufacturing process. - Monitor manufacturing KPIs, focusing on wastage, productivity, and cost per unit. - Partner with operations and procurement teams to enhance cost controls. Cash Flow & Working Capital Management: - Oversee cash flow management to optimise working capital levels. - Manage credit control and supplier payment schedules diligently. Compliance & Controls: - Ensure adherence to financial regulations and corporate policies. - Implement robust financial controls and process improvements. - Assist with VAT returns, payroll, and all regulatory reporting. Systems & Process Improvement: - Drive the enhancement of finance systems for improved reporting efficiency. - Develop user-friendly dashboards and reporting tools for actionable insights. - Identify and implement efficiencies in finance and operations processes. Key Skills & Qualifications: - Qualified or Part-Qualified Accountant (CIMA/ACCA/ACA). - Previous experience in food manufacturing or FMCG is highly desirable. - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail. - Proficiency in ERP/accounting systems (e.g., Sage, SAP, or similar). - Advanced Excel skills, comfortable managing large datasets. - Strong commercial awareness and ability to influence key business decisions. - Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
