Job summary
We are currently seeking a Senior Physiotherapy Support Worker to join our large yet welcoming team at Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust.
We are pleased to offer a part-time position ( hours per week) based at Worcestershire Royal Hospital. The hours are to be worked Wednesday to Friday.
We are looking for an individual who is dedicated to delivering the highest standard of care to our patients, who can consistently demonstrate our 4ward signature behaviours, and who is driven to prioritise the needs of our patients.
Previous experience as a therapy assistant or in a rehabilitation role is essential; only applicants who meet this criterion will be considered.
A knowledge of exercise therapy and human anatomy is also desirable and would be highly advantageous.

Main duties of the job
The successful applicant willassist physiotherapists in delivering treatments across a variety of inpatientspecialities. Duties will include delivering treatments, exercise programmesand mobilising patients to achieve a safe discharge.

Job description
Job responsibilities
Working as partof the physiotherapy team, to provide quality therapeutic care through the delivery of specified assessment andtreatment programmes to a limited patient group, as directed by the seniortherapist. This will involve workingunsupervised and at times will involve working with both qualified andunqualified staff including Physiotherapy assistants. To assess, treatand progress simple treatment of patients in line with competencies set andassessed by the Senior Physiotherapist and to use this knowledge to contributeto effective discharge planning as part of the Multi-disciplinary Team.
To provideclerical and administrative support to qualified staff and students andto undertake delegated housekeeping and stock control tasks.
To participate in theweekend service. The specialitydependant on experience. This servicemay include the treatment of children. Working hours will be dependent upon theservice provided within each speciality, this may include 7 day working orparticipation in a relevant weekend/bank holiday rota.

24. - A level 3 apprenticeship ( Senior Healthcare Support Worker apprenticeship (or other level 3 qualification pathway) or
25. - Equivalent clinical experience/expertise within an AHP profession underpinned by theoretical and practical experience

26. A relevant further education qualification eg BTEC (Therapy Support Worker) or NVQ 3 in Healthcare or equivalent
