Band 5 Mental Health Nurse

We are looking for a compassionate and dedicated Staff Nurse to join our client's team as a Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN). In this role, you will provide high-quality, evidence-based care to patients aged 18 to 65 with complex mental health needs, including personality disorders, serious and enduring mental illnesses.
You will play a crucial role in assessing patients' mental health conditions, developing individualized care plans, and implementing therapeutic interventions designed to promote recovery and resilience. Qualifications:
* RMN (Registered Mental Health Nurse) qualification with valid UK NMC registration.
* Proven experience in mental health nursing, particularly with complex cases involving personality disorders, serious and enduring mental illness, and histories of trauma.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with patients and collaborate effectively with colleagues.
* Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team, demonstrating leadership and initiative as needed.
* A compassionate and empathetic approach to patient care, ensuring that all interactions are respectful and supportive.
* Commitment to ongoing professional development and a willingness to engage in further training as required.
Responsibilities:
* Provide nursing care and treatment to women with complex mental health needs, including personality disorders, serious and enduring mental illnesses and co-morbidities.
* Administer medications as prescribed, closely monitoring their effects and addressing any side effects or concerns promptly.
* Develop and review individualized care plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team, ensuring that patient needs are prioritized and addressed effectively.
* Support and educate patients and their families regarding mental health issues, facilitating understanding and encouraging active participation in the care process.
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in accordance with regulatory standards and organizational policies, ensuring confidentiality and data protection.
* Adhere to all relevant regulations, policies, and procedures to ensure a safe and therapeutic environment for patients and staff.
* Participate in regular supervision and team meetings to discuss patient care, share best practices, and contribute to a positive team culture.
