We are proud to advertise a position for a Senior Technician to join our Aseptic Services Team, to make significant contributions to the development and delivery of aseptic services at South Tees Hospitals. This is an exciting opportunity for a Pharmacy Technician with hospital experience to develop their skills and knowledge in a highly specialised role. At South Tees Pharmacy, we are committed to the development of the Pharmacy Technician workforce and offer an array of training and development opportunities that match against the four domains of the Royal Pharmaceutical Society and APTUK frameworks for pharmacy technicians. Applicants will be required to be a registered Pharmacy Technician with the GPhC or be able to register before employment begins. Applicants ideally will have experience of aseptic/clean room environments, be able to work methodically and have meticulous attention to detail. You must be willing to meet the strict personal requirements for clean room working and be manually and mentally dexterous to undertake aseptic preparation. In house training and accreditation will be provided to achieve the required level of competency; on-going validation of aseptic technique is a requirement of the post. The post holder will participate in the preparation of aseptically prepared products in the Production Unit at The James Cook University Hospital (JCUH). They will help supervise training for Pharmacy Technicians, SATO’s, ATO’s, Assistants, Pre-Registration Pharmacy Technicians & Pre-Registration Pharmacists. Working as part of the senior aseptic team you will be expected to follow strict operating procedures in the production of chemotherapy regimens, intravenous nutritional products and other highly specialised drug products intended for the patients of South Tees Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.
