I am working with a client who is a leader within the industry. They are looking to add a multi-skilled engineer to the team. In this role, you will provide full engineering support to the Production function under the leadership of the Engineering Shift Manager.
Package
Salary: £53,000
Shift: 2 days 2 nights 4 off
Location: Birmingham
Role
1. Assume responsibility for the mechanical and electrical integrity of equipment by carrying out the following:
2. Effective planned maintenance inspections, reviewing frequencies, parts used, mean time between failure rates, etc.
3. Recommend improvements to maintenance schedules; carry out safety checks on equipment in line with legislation and best practice.
4. Overhaul and repair of plant; continually monitor plant conditions and report defects.
5. Deliver a consistent and improving plant reliability through the effective management and monitoring of downtime, PPM conformance, and engineering planning.
Requirements/Experience
1. Excellent electrical and mechanical knowledge.
2. Formal engineering qualification to at least City & Guilds level, NVQ level 3 or equivalent in an electrical discipline with corresponding practical experience.
3. Fault-finding, troubleshooting, diagnostics.
4. Ability to train effectively.
5. PLC automation skills.
