Main duties of the job
1. Work unsupervised to advise and recommend treatment for patients using clinical judgment, and decision making skills in accordance with agreed local, regional and national policies and guidelines.
2. In partnership with other clinical teams, collaborate on improving the quality of health-care responding to local and national policies and initiative as appropriate.
3. Support and participate in shared learning across the Division and TRFT.
4. Assess the impact of policy implementation on care delivery.
5. Recognise and work within own competency and professional code of conduct as regulated by the NMC/HCPC.
6. Produce accurate, contemporaneous and complete records of patient consultation.
7. Assess effectiveness of care delivery through self and peer review, benchmarking and formal audit and evaluation in the quality governance systems and processes of the division.
8. Work autonomously and to be effective and responsible for supporting others and exploring mechanisms to develop new ways of working.
9. Prioritise own workload and ensure effective time management strategies are embedded within the culture of the team.
10. Work effectively with others to clearly define values, direction and policies.

What you can add:
1. Act as an Advanced Clinical Practitioner demonstrating advanced knowledge and skills.
2. To be a pivotal member of the Team, seeing patients in all areas of the UECC.
3. Organise the clinical management of individual patients, using highly developed expert clinical knowledge and advanced skills to assess, diagnose, plan, implement and initiate changes in management where required. This will involve the monitoring and evaluating the response to treatment through analysis and interpretation of clinical tests and investigations and the transfer of care/discharge of patients.
4. Conduct advanced health assessments and clinical examination of patients with highly complex presentations and make clinical decisions based on these assessments. Manage patients based upon own interpretation of results.
5. Work as an autonomous practitioner, managing and prioritising own workload on a daily basis, prioritising patients based on clinical need.

10. Contribute to the development of design, implement and evaluate patient involvement and experience and develop effective feedback mechanisms to enhance the service provided by the team HS/JC June 2022.
11. Recognise and work within own competency and professional code of conduct as regulated by the NMC/HCPC.
12. Produce accurate, contemporaneous and complete records of patient consultation.
13. Assess effectiveness of care delivery through self and peer review, benchmarking and formal audit and evaluation in the quality governance systems and processes of the division.
14. Understand and apply legal issues that support the identification of vulnerable children and adults. To understand the statutory child/vulnerable health policy and procedures regarding domestic violence, vulnerable adults, substance abuse and addictive behaviour. To provide guidance and support to ensure appropriate referral if required.
15. Ensure health and safety is maintained at all times.
16. Work autonomously and to be effective and responsible for supporting others and exploring mechanisms to develop new ways of working.
17. Delegate clearly and appropriately.
18. Prioritise own workload and ensure effective time management strategies are embedded within the culture of the team.
19. Work effectively with others to clearly define values, direction and policies.
20. Discuss, highlight and work with the team to create opportunities to improve patient care.
21. Contribute to the delivery of specifically identified services or projects.
The role will involve, but not be limited to you performing the above.
What you'll need:
Qualification:
* NMC Registered Nurse / HCPC Registered Allied Health Care Professional who meet the legal prescribing standard to be able to train as a non-medical prescriber.
* Possess a level 7 Masters degree in advanced clinical practice (or equivalent clinical masters degree which includes modules in advanced clinical assessment & pathophysiology).
* Advanced Life Support (provider).
* Evidence of CPD relevant to unscheduled / emergency care.
* Independent prescribing qualification.
* Teaching Qualification.
* Paediatric advanced Life support qualification.
* Instructor status for RCUK courses.
* Leadership qualification.
Experience:
* At least 5 years post-registration experience of working in unscheduled / emergency care.
* Experience of working in an emergency care environment within the last 2 years.
* Experience of working with patients of all ages.
*Depending on the Trust, you may require variable additional certification and skills.
