What does taking part in the Collins Aerospace Quality Engineering Apprentice Programme involve?
This scheme is geared towards supporting the career development of apprentices who wish to play an instrumental role in the manufacturing of the next generation of civil and military aircraft.
The role is based at our Collins Aerospace Composite Centre of Excellence facility in Banbury, UK. We are looking to recruit high calibre apprentices who can support Actuation Systems with the effective planning and execution of Quality Engineering activities.

The scheme will provide you with opportunities to progress your career in Engineering. You will be part of our Quality Engineering team and assigned a mentor, who will support and guide you throughout your career with us.
A Quality Engineer (QE) within the Collins business leads from the front, living and driving our core values of Engaged, Empowered and Accountable. You will be accountable for all aspects of quality improvement, including projects such as the reduction in scrap and rework costs.
A successful Collins QE is self-motivated with excellent time management and organisation skills. They will also be an expert communicator and can solve challenges while placing the customer at the centre of everything they do.
Development and training to build your career
The apprenticeship programme lasts for a period of 2 years and is a partnership between Collins Aerospace and JC Training and Consultancy. You will learn key Quality principles which will be vital to your development at Collins Aerospace.
By the end of the programme, having completed your functional training and apprenticeship, you will be awarded Level 4 Quality Practitioner.
What are we looking for?
* Have a minimum of 5 GCSE’s at Grade C/5 or above including Mathematics, English and a Science based subject
* Be a UK resident living in the UK for a minimum of 3 years
* Good analytical skills and problem solving
* Good personal management and self-organisation skills
* Effective communicator – written and verbal
