Our stunning care home, Grappenhall Manor Care Centre, is a purpose-built 70-bed facility located in Warrington, Cheshire. The home provides the highest standards of safety, comfort, and care to residents with diverse needs, including residential, nursing, and dementia care. We invest in the latest technology and offer a purposeful programme of daily activities and gentle exercises to enhance residents' wellbeing. All team members are selected for their warmth and passion, undergo a full induction, and receive ongoing training from our in-house trainers in conjunction with the New Care Academy. We pride ourselves on employing a permanent staff team, with no agency staff for over 4 years, ensuring continuity of care from staff who know and residents trust. Across New Care, all staff are paid the national living wage or above.
We are seeking to appoint a kind, caring, and motivated Head of Hospitality to join our team. You will be responsible for organising the Hospitality and Care Assistants to ensure a smooth and efficient dining experience for our residents. Your duties include overseeing dining room preparation, cleanliness, setup, and ensuring meals are served timely, presentably, and correctly. This role involves leading a team of Hospitality Assistants, managing rotas, training, and supervision. We offer a 40-hour contract with an hourly rate of £12.44. Shift times are 08:00-19:00, with alternate weekend working.
Role Responsibilities:
1. Ensure a high standard of hospitality service is provided.
2. Support and assist visitors.
3. Inform the Chef of any individual resident requirements.
4. Follow cleaning schedules and procedures as per company HACCP standards.
5. Ensure adherence to all training provided.
6. Maintain proper records and reports, including cleaning schedules, work sheets, fridge temperatures, and HACCP paperwork.
7. Manage, allocate duties, and supervise the hospitality team to ensure quality delivery during shifts.
8. Coach staff and participate in their ongoing development.
9. Promote safeguarding and the welfare of adults in contact with the post holder.
Skills and experience required:
1. Experience as a Dining or Restaurant Supervisor is essential.
2. Previous experience in a care setting is desirable.
3. Effective communication skills with team members are essential.
4. Participation in activities organized in the home is required.
