Job Title: Manufacturing Manager

Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Manufacturing Manager to oversee production operations within a dynamic Food, Drinks, and FMCG manufacturing environment. This role requires a proactive leader who can drive operational efficiency, ensure quality standards, and foster a culture of continuous improvement. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing production teams, optimising workflows, and implementing best practices to enhance productivity while maintaining compliance with industry regulations. Key Responsibilities
* Operational Management: Oversee day-to-day manufacturing processes, ensuring production targets are met while maintaining efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
* Process Improvement: Identify and implement strategies to optimise production workflows, reduce waste, and enhance overall operational performance.
* Team Leadership & Development: Manage, mentor, and support production staff to achieve high levels of engagement and performance. Conduct regular training and skills development initiatives.
* Quality Assurance: Ensure products meet company quality standards through robust quality control measures and adherence to regulatory requirements. Address any non-conformance issues promptly.
* Health & Safety Compliance: Enforce safety policies and procedures to maintain a secure working environment, ensuring all employees comply with health and safety regulations. Conduct routine safety inspections and risk assessments.
* Inventory & Resource Management: Collaborate with procurement and supply chain teams to manage raw materials, control stock levels, and minimise production downtime.
* Performance Monitoring: Track and analyse key performance indicators (KPIs) related to productivity, quality, and cost efficiency. Prepare reports and provide insights to senior management.
* Cross-functional collaboration: Work closely with engineering, maintenance, and logistics teams to improve processes and resolve any operational challenges.
Qualifications & Skills Required
* Minimum of 5-8 years experience in a Food, Drinks, or FMCG manufacturing environment, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
* Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, lean principles, and operational best practices.
* Excellent leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop teams.
* Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities, with a continuous improvement mindset.
* Knowledge of industry regulations and compliance requirements relevant to manufacturing.
* Ability to manage multiple priorities, work under pressure, and meet deadlines.
* Effective communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
* A bachelor's degree in engineering, manufacturing, or a related field is desirable.
