Royal United Hospitals Bath NHS Foundation Trust
We are excited to announce part-time band 6 vacancies in the Gynaecology department, following a period of induction and in-house training, to manage and participate in clinics independently, along with the existing nurse specialists.
This will also involve working clinically across all Gynaecology clinics as needed, coordinating and caring for women attending the Gynae emergency assessment clinic alongside the Sonographers and clinic Doctor, and performing general managerial duties of a band 6 nurse.
The successful applicant will be supported in the early pregnancy and Termination clinics to develop skills in history taking, assessment, planning and requesting relevant diagnostic tests, evaluation of Ultrasound scan reports, and the organization of operations or medical treatments in the ward area.
The successful applicant will need to have excellent communication and counselling skills to enable both groups of women to choose a treatment course that is appropriate for their needs and to support them emotionally through their journey.
We are a forward-thinking department and actively encourage ongoing staff development. The successful applicant will need to demonstrate excellent interpersonal, organizational, and leadership skills with a drive to promote a high standard of care for our patients, ensuring their privacy and dignity is paramount at all times.
