Are you passionate about IT and providing top-notch support to users? We’re looking for a 1st Line Support Engineer to join our client's internal team! In this role, you’ll provide hands-on support for a range of IT systems, including PCs, laptops, mobile devices, and network infrastructure.
What You’ll Do:
1. Provide IT support to all staff, responding to software and hardware queries via email or phone.
2. Troubleshoot and resolve issues across workstations, servers, networks, and vendor-specific hardware/software.
3. Take ownership of support calls, diagnose issues, identify solutions, and keep users informed.
4. Manage user accounts in Active Directory, including access control.
5. Assist with IT projects, system rollouts, and occasional scheduled out-of-hours work.
6. Ensure compliance with security policies, software licensing, and data protection regulations.
7. Document IT systems and solutions to support knowledge-sharing within the team.
What We’re Looking For:
1. Experience with PCs, laptops, tablets, and printers.
2. Knowledge of Windows 10/11, Apple Mac, and Microsoft Office 365.
3. Familiarity with Azure Entra ID, Active Directory, and service desk solutions.
4. Understanding of mobile device management systems.
5. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, even with unfamiliar systems.
6. Excellent communication skills – able to explain technical information to non-technical users.
7. A proactive, can-do attitude with the ability to work independently and under pressure.
Bonus Skills (Nice to Have):
1. Basic TCP/IP networking, switching, and routing.
2. Experience with Microsoft Server and Hyper-V.
3. Knowledge of security standards (ISO27001, Cyber Essentials) and GDPR compliance.
