Assistant Accountant
Location: Leatherhead
Employment Type: Full-time/Part-time
Hybrid working: 3 days in the office, 2 days from home (if full time)
Salary: 30k Full time
I am working with a small, dynamic company with a dedicated team of 11 in total. They are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join them to support their financial and administrative operations.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Bookkeeping Duties:
* Maintain accurate financial records and ledgers.
* Process accounts payable and receivable, chasing payments and invoices.
* Reconcile bank statements and manage cash flow.
* Prepare and submit VAT returns.
* Handle HMRC queries.
* Assist with monthly payslips for 11 staff.
* Create reports and spreadsheets on Excel.
* Generate financial reports and statements.
1. Other / General:
* Manage office supplies and inventory.
* Handle incoming and outgoing correspondence.
* Maintain and organize company files and records.
* Provide general administrative support to the team.
Qualifications:
* Proven experience in a Bookkeeping position.
* Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) and MS Office Suite.
* Strong organizational and time management skills.
* Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
* Good communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
