Job Title: Spray shop supervisor Location: Denton, Manchester Department: Spray Facility Reports to: Spray Facility Production Manager Type of position: Full time, 40 hours Monday - Friday 7.00am - 3.30pm General Description We are looking for an experienced supervisor to join our rapidly expanding business. We have a paint to order Spray Shop which operates both hand painting booths and state of the art automated spray line The ideal candidate will have previous experience in supervisory role within a spraying/warehouse environment. We are looking for candidates who have a keen attitude towards learning a new role and who can demonstrate a conscientious approach to their previous roles. Key Tasks Supervising / coordinating the day-to-day operation of the spray shop Ensure quality assurance throughout the production process. Escalates any or potential issues to ensure that forecasted production plans are properly integrated. checks quantities, numbers, types, etc. for all the components before sending them on to production or from production to customer. Managing the production so the scheduled timescale/goals are met Assisting in the development and monitoring of production schedules for any products/parts Monitoring inventory levels within the lean manufacturing environment Monitoring stock levels for raw materials and production components Maintains and distributes a daily material shortage list. Working with the Production planning manager with the running of the department Ensuring all sprayed products are quality checked Coach/Mentor of all team members to support their personal development goals and knowledge and understanding of the business Ensuring all products that are labelled correctly Motivate the individuals within the team to generate a vibrant, positive, team orientated culture which is focussed on delivering outstanding service Strive, with the other members of the Warehouse, to achieve all the department’s objectives Monitor and manage team performance and identify areas for improvement Carrying out investigations when required Candidate Specification A process driven individual with a good eye for detail Demonstrable experience of implementing continual improvements in workflows and processes A strong work ethic and the ability to deliver under pressure Excellent people management skills Ability to multi-task, and prioritise a busy workload using initiative People person able to inspire, coach and motivate PC Literate in Microsoft Office (Excel) Articulate and Numerate Work experience/educational requirements Essential Experience in a similar role and managing a team Educated to GCSE Standard Good knowledge of Warehousing processes and procedures Desirable Supervisory experience in the KBB sector Knowledge of priming, paint, finishes About the Benefits We recognise that conflicting priorities between work and personal life can affect employee productivity and stress levels and impact upon work performance.
