Early finish on Fridays Our client is a leading manufacturing company of industrial, process and electric heating elements in the UK and Europe. Our client is looking for an experienced Buyer. Job Description: As the Buyer you will have a strong background in procurement and supply chain management. You will be responsible for sourcing and purchasing materials, products, and services to meet the company's operational needs. Key Responsibilities: Identify and evaluate potential suppliers based on quality, pricing, and reliability. Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers to secure the best terms and conditions. Monitor inventory levels and ensure timely replenishment of stock. Manage relationships with suppliers and resolve any issues or discrepancies. Conduct market research to stay updated on industry trends and best practices. Collaborate with other departments to forecast demand and plan procurement activities. Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and other relevant data. Skills and Experience: Proven experience as a Buyer or in a similar role. Strong negotiation and communication skills. Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and procurement software. Knowledge of supply chain management principles and practices. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
